SOUTH AFRICA ONLINE VISA: HOW TO APPLY & VISA-EXEMPT COUNTRIES
Visiting South Africa is on the top list of most travelers around the world. The paradise in the southern tip of Africa is welcoming visitors from the whole world. As we all know, the entire world is now shifting to the online visa system. South Africa is not an exception. Very soon, you will be able to apply for South Africa visa online. But for now, application for visa is only through the embassies of South Africa. But wait maybe you are exempted from visa to South Africa. Read below to know more.
Visa Exempt countries
As for now, citizens of 48 countries are exempt from visa to South Africa, and they can travel directly and stay less than 90 days. These countries include USA, Canada, Russia, Brazil and Argentine and most Europe. Also, citizens of another 28 countries are welcomed to enter south Africa visa-free for less than 30 days. These countries include Turkey, Poland, Thailand, Malaysia, and South Korea.
Apply for South Africa online visa
South Africa online visa is soon to become a reality. Thulani Mavuso, who is the director-general of South African Home Affairs, declared that South Africa intends to launch the online visa system in November 2019. And it will allow citizens of some foreign countries to get a ten years residence visa in South Africa.
The nationalities eligible for the electronic visa are not yet clearly advertised. Soon, it is expected to be published in South Africa online visa website. The following countries are expected to be eligible for an online visa: Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Kenya, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, USA, UK.

Citizens holding the passport of the countries which I didn’t mention here, must go to the embassy of Republic south Africa to issue tourist visa.
Obviously, the application of South Africa online visa new system will make it easier to obtain a visa. Also, it is expected to increase the number of tourists visiting South Africa. So, we have to wait until November 2019 for more clarification of the requirements and the countries eligible to apply for the South Africa online visa.
