Although it looks the best and easiest wat to killing time on long flights, many factors you got to consider first, depending on how tired you are and the time zone at the destination country. Choose the best airplane seat for a comfy sleep. You may need a tranquilizer if you are not tolerant of air turbulence.
However, I always discourage using sleeping pills because the harms outweigh the benefits. Always Consult your Doctor about the best sleeping pills for you. Don’t forget sleeping stuff, eye bandage, earplug, and comfortable inflatable pillow (ask the flight attendant for a pillow and blanket if you need).
2. READING
Books are the best travel companion. Also, it may help to sleep if it is in your plans. Choose an exciting book, better if it is about the country you are visiting so you can learn more about people. The history and culture of the country I am going to visit is my recommendation for you. All you need is an account on Kindle eBooks. Thanks to the new technologies, now, you can get a library full of books on your phone.
3. MOVIES
You can entertain yourself on the flight with movies and TV shows. Movies are an excellent choice. Subscribe to Netflix or Hulu and enjoy endless movies and TV shows. You can download videos to watch it later offline. Romantic and comic movies are favorable. Avoid horror movies on the airplane. I was so crazy to watch the movie ‘Final Destination’ while on the aircraft. Don’t forget to read the movies’ review as you don’t want to find out that the film you have selected is not entertaining.

Why not add to your knowledge while on the airplane? You can download many exciting documentaries to watch later offline. Better if the documentaries about the history and culture of your destination country.

Dilemmas in your mind? Think about it and plan for it when you are on board. There is plenty of time to think about it, or simply prepare for your trip. Don’t forget a pen and a note to record your ideas.
